Our Founder Ebere Lucy Okafor
My name is Ebere Lucy Okafor a multidisciplinary creative leader, author, mentor, and community builder. For over a decade, I have dedicated myself to amplifying the voices, businesses, and aspirations of women through literature, cultural events, and women-led empowerment platforms. My work merges storytelling with entrepreneurship, creating spaces where women not only feel seen but are equipped to grow and lead.

Founded by Ebere Lucy Okafor, Bizwomen Hub exists to empower, equip, and elevate women entrepreneurs especially Black women by providing the tools, support, and visibility they need to thrive in today’s digital and competitive world.
What began as EnuguBizWomen, a local initiative aimed at connecting and empowering women in Enugu, Nigeria, has evolved into a global hub for purpose-driven women in business. Our rebrand to Bizwomen Hub reflects our bold vision to break barriers, transcend borders, and create a thriving digital space where women from all walks of life can succeed together.

Our Director Dr. Claire Ogah
Dr. Claire Ogah is a dynamic entrepreneur, seasoned grant writer, and passionate fundraiser with a heart for social impact and sustainable growth. As the visionary founder behind Overlaycouture, she has transformed cultural storytelling into wearable art, empowering women and celebrating African heritage through fashion, illustration, and community-focused initiatives.
With a proven track record in securing funding for grassroots projects and social enterprises, Claire has become a trusted name in the nonprofit and creative sectors. Her ability to merge strategy with storytelling has helped bring meaningful programmes to life particularly those centering on women, youth, and underrepresented communities.
Beyond business, Claire is a compelling spoken word artist known for using her voice as a vessel for change. Her performances are raw, resonant, and reflective touching on themes of womanhood, justice, healing, and nation-building. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, Claire inspires others to rise with intention, lead with courage, and live purposefully.
